My inspection report included rear brake and rotor replacement. The technician specifically stated my rear brakes were at 2mm and dangerous to drive on. I took my car to another shop (and paid for their labor) only to discover my rear brakes were practically brand new with no signs of wear and my rotors did not show signs of damage or wear either. Had I paid this shop the several hundred dollars they were asking, I would have never known this happened. I would not trust this shop without personal verification of the inspection report. Ask for pictures or for the technician to show you the problem personally. Its a shame you cannot trust shops to be honest. I already submitted this complain to the BBB and have not received a response. Edit after business reponse: Please notice how I did not mention any work on my vehicle that was completed or paid for in full from Tire Pros. I am mostly satisfied with the repairs and have addressed the other concerns mentioned with other shops. The only relevant part of their reply is right here: "We acknowledge your concern regarding a brake recommendation that was made during the visit. After reviewing the situation internally, we determined this recommendation was made in error. We do not tolerate false or misleading recommendations to our customers. As a result, the technician involved is no longer employed with our company. We sincerely apologize for this miscommunication." I simply wanted to share my experience about being misconstrued regarding my inspection report. I find it very difficult to find a good honest auto shop in Atlanta, and unfortunately, I would not recommend friend or family go here after my experience. I hope you honestly addressed the issue, but many other customers may have experienced the same thing I did, and I believe it is fair for other consumers to hear my story.
Hi Alden, we would like to address the concerns raised in your complaint directly and provide clarification regarding the repairs performed and the communication that took place. When your vehicle arrived at our facility, you reported a clicking noise while turning. After inspection, our technician determined the noise was coming from the driver-side CV axle, which was failing and required replacement. You approved this repair. Once replaced, the clicking noise was resolved. Additionally, the vehicle had a tire pressure warning light illuminated. Upon diagnosis, we found two TPMS sensors were faulty and no longer functioning properly. These sensors were replaced with your approval, which corrected the tire pressure light concern. Both the CV axle replacement and the TPMS sensor replacements were necessary, properly diagnosed, approved by you, and successfully resolved the issues that brought the vehicle in. We acknowledge your concern regarding a brake recommendation that was made during the visit. After reviewing the situation internally, we determined this recommendation was made in error. We do not tolerate false or misleading recommendations to our customers. As a result, the technician involved is no longer employed with our company. We sincerely apologize for this miscommunication. You later reported a rear wheel bearing noise, which was not part of the original repair. As a goodwill gesture, we are willing to replace the rear wheel bearing at no charge. We also advised that, due to the vehicle being an all-wheel-drive Subaru, it is strongly recommended to have four matching tires of the same brand and tread depth, as mismatched tires can cause drivetrain issues over time. This recommendation was made to help prevent future mechanical problems. We remain committed to customer satisfaction and invite you to contact us directly at 404-809-3975 so we may schedule the rear wheel bearing replacement and resolve this matter fully. Once again, we apologize for the incorrect brake communication and appreciate the opportunity to address this concern.
